yelawolf first album is underrated. Im still surprised “lets roll” wasn’t the biggest song in the world.
Disagree. I thought Yela’s first album was suuuuper underwhelming. There’s a reason “Radioactive” wasn’t active on the radio. Yela has even acknowledged that he dropped the ball on his first album after dropping that heat-rock known as Trunk Muzik 0-60. Second go round should be better though.
not all albums that are critically acclaimed get radio play (see Reasonable doubt) ….that album was crack…the song he had with eminem and gangsta boo was sumn else..you need to take a serious listen again bruh

Album was executive produced by eminem, doesnt mean he sat with yelawolf and forced him to rap on certain beats
He had just signed him to the label, you gonna get signed by eminem and not listen to almost anything he says?? And you’re telling me that it’s coincidence both yela and slaughterhouses albums sounded nothing like their previous work and tried getting way more emotional right after they signed to shady

his projects since then have been hit or miss but he still kills it

in all honesty Im not a big fan of this record, but DO look forward to Love Story. RadioActive was recorded to be a mainstream Album but Jimmy and Co dropped their Co Sign when the Kid Rock single didnt go Plat (and it should have) . Yela got the deal and no marketing, He had at least 5 songs on that album that could have and should have been in heavy commercial radio rotation. Glad he is going back to the Trunk Music blueprint tho. I enjoy it more. as should you.
