Wu-Tang Clan On Drake “Wu-Tang Forever (Remix)”

It’s Yourz.

It’s been over a year since the public first heard Drake’s track, “Wu-Tang Forever”. Word on road was that the Wu were supposed to remix the song, but nothing ever materialized. Politicking at their press conference last week in LA, the Clan explains why things were derailed. Needless to the say, this shit’s not gon’ happen.

  1. to be honest the song wu tang forever by drake didnt really pay homage because were talking about wu tang clan a hardcore rap group from the 90s his version was some cuddle music for some chicks he should do a tribute to dru hill

    1. Jake Zero says:

Shoulda called the shit; Sisqo Forever.

      1. Brian B.Dot™ Miller says:

        ok, that was funny lol

      2. The Incredible Creation says:

        LMFAO word.

    2. Billy Kincaid says:

Only the hook was about a girl.
The verse was his usual braggadocio rap.
      Hardly “cuddle music”.

      1. JE says:

Except the hook and the bridge of the song are longer than his actual verse. He spits for about 50 seconds, the rest of the song is straight cuddle music

    3. Music says:

Funny that you and Wu-Tang failed to realize ‘Wu-Tang Forever’ was a double metaphor, for a female, AND the rap game.

Pretty scary a well respected and crowned ‘legendary’ rap group couldn’t grasp this concept and lost an opportunity. The joke is actually on them.

Only will ‘hard core’ hip hop fans and rappers will complain about technique and skill, when they can’t even see it.

“what was I rhyming about, I was rapping some hardcore shit and he wanted to rap about some bitch shit” ~ U-God

No U-God he wanted you to actually write a verse with a concept that matched the song and the metaphor.

Wu-Tang played themselves. Nice subtle way to show Drake actually has the upper-hand in song writing and technique smh.

      1. Chronic says:

That’s fine, but drake made a song that had “wu-tang” in the title and it had nothing to do with them or resemble their music

        1. thats what im saying if your going to pay homage represent them right not with some watered down r&b

        2. Music says:

Drake sampled “It’s Yourz” TWICE on the album, repitched and reworked the idea of “C.R.E.A.M.” on the albums outro. He shouts out O.D.B. and Cappadona on the album. He is introducing a legendary rap crew to a more broader and internation fanbase.

Don’t you think just mentioning Wu in “WuTang Forever” was paying homeage in itself and blatantly acknowledging who inspired him for this album?

Is this really the argument you are trying win? Drake could of easily not mention Wu-Tang at all and still have you guys senslessly hating.

Drake even gave these guys a platform to showcase their talents to a much more diverse crowd of music listeners and then they play themselves showing how they don’t understanding the song’s concept lmao.

this is clearly a “You Played Yourself” moment in it’s purest sense.

          1. Chronic says:

So he used some samples, if anything that wasn’t paying homage, I’d call it using real hip hop to masquerade what drake does as hard rap. In my opinion he didn’t catch the feel of wu in the songs. Some of the beats are alright using the samples, but that has nothing the do with drake and everything to do with his producer.

Wu-tang is one of the best hip-hop groups ever and the fact they still have stuck together and are relevant to this day, I’d say they’re fine without a drake co-sign.

      2. Samsohn says:

Drake’s little girl fans have moved on, and the dudes that only listen to him because they want some pussy will move on too

Wu-Tang forever will be an album listened to for a long time

        1. Shock says:

I like Drake because I get women, and he appeals to that side of me. I like the Wu because they appeal to my aggressive side, but I don’t have to be one way or another all the time. That’s stupid

      3. Savimbi says:

        You’re dumb!!!!!!! Very Very Dumb!!!!!

      4. wow says:

        you got it!

“I could fuck you so good then I hit you with the 9am in
Dallas who you like,Baby who you like”

“Well, made me think about the game, girl
And how I switched it up with a new thang
Young nigga came through on his Wu-Tang
And nowadays when I ask about who got it, they say it’s
        yours”

        nigaz up here losst man!

    4. The Incredible Creation says:

LMFAO…. literally crackin’ up tho.. wow.. http://www.theincrediblecreation.com/

  2. "hustlemania" says:

Hip Hop fans don’t wanna hear Wu-Tang doing songs with the 6th member of The Backstreet Boys

    1. Greenbergs says:

      2. b r z a says:

        1. Greenbergs says:

son, if a group say they gonna put out a million dollar album, and act cocky about it saying its gonna be put in museums, it should be at least addressed…

  3. MegaMan says:

    Old washed up niggas.

    1. bcro31 says:

90’s baby. Show some respect. All the shit that went down in 1997 when the east coast was reeling. They carried New York when they dropped that double cd. Wu tang is forever!!!!!

        1. bcro31 says:

The nerve of some of these Niggas man. I was 14 when they dropped one of the greatest group songs in hiphop history. Wu tang’s triumph should be study in schools just based on pure lyrical genius.

          1. Samsohn says:

I’m the Osiris of this sh*t!!!!! ODB is one of the greatest ‘personalities’ in the history of mankind…and if you disagree with me you can shove your face in a constipated donkey’s ass who just ate 600 pounds of re-friend beans

          2. i remember when that album drop the problem is they what to disrepect every thing thats not now failing to relies if it wasnt for these artists you wouldnt have now these men pave the the way im glad you put that little nigga in check

          3. bcro31 says:

Just had to break it down for him. These young cats see Wu tang as a thing in the past. I see them as living legends. There impact is global, and Niggas need to respect that.

          4. i feel you i had to put this kid in hes place he whated to tell me about mid 90s hip hop a time that he wasnt a part of

          5. Music says:

Tell me how many units their next release is on a global scale.

If their impact is truly global to this day then post numbers up and make me feel stupid.

          6. Savimbi says:

I bomb atomically, socrates philosophies and hypothesis, can’t define how i be dropping these, mockeries, lyrically perform armed robberies!!!!!!! ,<——– I was the same age, but even as a youngin at that time we understood the meaning of LYRICISM!!!

          7. bcro31 says:

Thank you. Never heard 9 Niggas on one track just straight murder it like that.

  4. Judge Joe Dredd says:

I’m glad this bullshit remix never came to fruition….. Mother fuck Aubry aka Drake… WU TANG IS FOREVER.

  5. el jim chapo guzman says:

Don’t nobody wanna hear this shit.

  6. yorapper says:

Damn Drake tried to renegade Wu.

  7. wow says:

Lol… Am i the only person that notices this song wasn’t about an actual girl but about the rap game as a girl(think common i just to love her). Sadly, the Wu have no idea smh… Comment section nigaz have no idea but dare to be critics.. Shit is sad in 2014

    1. wow says:

just noticed someone else touched on this below …. don’t mind me

    2. Kevin Banks says:

I been saying this forever and niggas was saying im reading too much into it, but it just goes to show that most niggas don’t really listen to the lyrics or try to understand the concept of the song

  8. I don’t think people wanted to hear it anyways

  9. Shock says:

The Wu have a right to turn it down, they are legends. Drake is a good artist too , doesn’t take away from either one of them. Drake could’ve gave them more exposure at this point, but to each it’s on. I’m not hating on either, they are all successful in their own right. Period
