    The production is fire!

  2. sorryitstrue says:

The beats <<<<< Mikes flows. Sad they are paired together. Waste of Mike music.

  3. theres a reason why el-p experimental hip -hop production style never caught on its sounds like a whole lot of noise dope rhymes over horrible sounding music a real waste of mikes talemts

    1. TruthSerum says:

His style caught on just fine, he’s had a successful career for going on 20 years independently and built a profitable label around it that ran for a decade. It just never caught on with everyday people, which was never his intention to begin with. When you make your music sound like that on purpose your clearly not worried about what the every day fan of the 4 bar loop is concerned with, your making your own mark.

      1. your talking about just being a underground artists for over twenty years a record label that got sued by def jam recordings for trademark infrigement and had to fold after ten years because they had to start making eps because no one was buying there albums

        1. TruthSerum says:

Company flow turned down major label offers in the 90’s because being underground was specifically what they wanted. Strange as it may seem but some folks are just fine making money on music without needing to be recognized walking down the street.

I also hate to call any man a liar but the last several Def Jux releases were full length albums. In fact, they released far more EP’s when they started in 99 & 2000. I could make you a list if you need verification on that.

Aside from that, your opinion on music is your own and your entitled to it. I was just pointing out the flaws in your statement

“His sound never caught on” because he didn’t design it to. He chose to go for a completely different sound, then chose to not sign with companies that market you to the everyday rap fan. In those decisions though, he’s had a career making music without having to work a job for 2 decades and gets 100% creative freedom.

          Not a bad deal

          1. dont care company flow broke up you really want to debate a comment i made how many days ago i really dont care about that i have my opinion and you have yours

          2. TruthSerum says:

Fair enough. Good day to you sir.

          3. i didnt even remember that comment i posted the reason why i said what i said was killer mike was rapping over el-p production and it didnt fit killer mikes style thats why i made that comment

          4. TruthSerum says:

Well, you certainly have the minority opinion on that one bruh. Mike’s work with El is his most critically acclaimed. Run the Jewels and R.A.P Music topped tons of “Best of” lists the last 2 years and you can wager your life this one will as well. The overwhelming verdict is there chemistry is perfect and you probably have a better chance of hitting the power ball than seeing this collaboration end.

But I wasn’t really trying to be disrespectful or nothing, everybody is entitled to their opinion. I got an older brother who thinks “The Godfather” is one of the worst movies he ever saw. I think he’s bat shit insane and has horrible taste in movies, but I still got love for him lol

            All love bruh, Peace.

          5. the thing about el-p production fits his style killer mike just didnt fit on that ep

          6. TruthSerum says:

Again, that’s a minority opinion. Almost everybody loves Killer Mike on El’s beats. The reviews are always through the roof, he’s touring more now then he has since he was on “The Whole World” and by his own admission making more money now then when he was on Columbia. So, agan, it’s just one of those things your alone on. Kind of like that handful of critics that gave “The Dark Knight” a bad review. Their entitled to their opinion but that shit still got a 9/10 overall when the reviews got tallied up on IMDB…….

          7. did you listen to the ep the one i was talking about i wasnt the only one that listen to it there only one song that was good and that was the one featuring zack da roca i dont care what critics say you know when something sounds good or not

          8. TruthSerum says:

Every song on the record sounds good except for the one with Gangsta Boo on it. I’ve ran it front to back about 3 times the last few days. I love El-P’s beats, for probably the exact same reasons you hate them. All that loud chaotic craziness is exactly what I look for in music, and Mike’s ranting and raving on top of them is musical perfection.

I mean, we could argue our opinions until the apocalypse comes but it wouldn’t get us nowhere lol you like what you like and I like what I like. That’s not gonna change

          9. i respect your opinion but that ep with mike just didnt his style of rap

          10. TruthSerum says:

Well, the world at large disagrees with that.

Either way, I’m getting tired of finding new ways to phrase that statement lol so let’s just call it a day on this one.

          11. the production didnt do mikes rhymes justice and i wasnt the only one after listening to it and left a comment like mines

      2. and far as making a sound if had to make music i would want it to sound good not that garbage tkat only white kids could understand
