I’m not afraid to say that everything Em has been attached to in the last 5 years has been whack, his albums, his verses, the stupid cartoons and videos leading up to this corny ass compilation. Em was a big part of my youth and getting into hip hop, but now he’s just an embarrassment.

You must not have heard at least half of MMLP 2 or Bad Meets Evil at minimum, let alone some dope freestyles. Quit talking shit acting like you know whats what while you promote whatever bullshit you keep posting. Get the fuck outta here clown.

      1. BK James says:

Bad Meets Evil had some good moments, like when Royce was rapping. I couldn’t bring myself to listen to MMLP because everything released off of it prior to its release was trash. I was, unfortunately, subjected to the song where he interpolates the classic Joe Walsh tune “Life’s Been Good”. It was at that point that I realized Em would never be good again. If he wants to do Skylar Grey hooked pop shit that’s fine, but there’s no reason to ruin classic songs from other genres. In all honesty, the recent Busta / Em collab was pretty bangin but everything else I’ve heard has been garbage….and don’t blame me for not listening to the MMLP2 when there was a steady stream of doodoo leading up to and following it’s release. Dude fell off and stayed down, and it’s ironic that the truth hurts too much for you to realize….then again taste is subjective, so you keep bumping those Skylar Grey Call of Duty tracks and I’ll keep bumping…well, anything else. LMAO.

        1. TheTruthHurts says:

If you’re not even going to listen to music then don’t run you’re mouth about it. That’s one of the quickest ways to look like a moron on the internet and never get your shitty link clicked. I listen to music then talk about it, if I haven’t heard it I don’t speak on it. That’s what people with intelligence do. So Far.. is not an average song but if you don’t like that then you don’t know anything about Rick Rubin and I assume you don’t know shit about Hip-Hop. And you won’t like MMLP 2 because him and Rick use classic rock type samples during it. But there’s depth in lyrics of plenty of that album. That Busta/Em colab was pretty weak which is further proof of you’re shitty taste. Come back when you’ve actually listened to the music you bash and have some fucking credibility, Hip-Hop doesn’t need you. Don’t make me click your link so I can really bash you.

          1. BK James says:

I’m sorry I don’t have time to suffer through every single song every made before forming my opinions, but the few songs I did hear from MMLP2 were all so terrible I couldn’t even consider punishing myself by listening to it. Rick Rubin has done plenty of great sampling / interpolation, one of the first hip hop albums I ever owned was License to Ill by the Beastie Boys back in the day…on that he could take a Led Zeppelin sample and turn it into something fresh…on that horrible Joe Walsh interpolation he was just ruining two genres at once. Clearly you and I have different interpretations of what rap should be… I liked the Em/Busta collab, while you like all the sober / Skylar Greey featuring ‘sensitive’ Em. To each his own.

          2. TheTruthHurts says:

No you actually have no clue what I like haha. The first Em/Busta colab was great, this new one with the House of Pain sample was pretty terrible especially in comparison. I can’t think of one Skylar Grey song I would listen to. So don’t be a pompous ignorant retard. I don’t assume to know you’re taste, I just go off the dumb shit I’ve seen you say on Rap Radar. You not having time is such a poor excuse, and if I only listened to albums with singles I liked that I heard before hand I’d have heard a lot less albums so again, that’s what an amateur Hip-Hop fan would do and say.

          3. BK James says:

It’s different when your talking about a new artist, but when someone you used to like drops two shitty, unlistenable albums in a row, are you really expected to sit through another one? Eminem has become so annoying and corny that even listening to his old material has become trying. There’s so much good music out there, both in hip hop and outside of it, that I can’t waste my time listening to every garbage album that comes out just to see if there are some high moments in it…so maybe I was wrong, maybe it’s just 90% of Em’s output in the past 5 years that’s been trash, but that other 10% isn’t worth having to suffer through the 90% of garbage that he puts out.

          4. The Real Franchise says:

You can’t have an opinion on something you didn’t listen to you fucking retard, the sad thing is i agree with a lot of what you’re saying but you’re still a fucking moron. I forget where i read/heard it, but someone described em’s new shit as “Technically his best lyrical work ever with absolutely no replay value” That’s the best description i’ve heard.

          5. BK James says:

Nowhere in this conversation did I state my specific opinion on the MMLP2, just that everything I heard off of it was so unbearable I couldn’t bring myself to listen to the rest. I probably have heard about half the album either because they were singles or because one of my friends was playing it, like in the case of the “Life’s Been Good” mutilation, and it all sucked. Maybe I was a little overdramatic in saying EVERYTHING he’s been attached to is garbage, but I have heard about 80-90% of his work in the past five years, including his freestyles which have been the high point, and I think 80-90% is more than enough to make a claim about whether or not you like an artist. For example, I have heard probably no more than 10% of Young Thug’s body of work, but I don’t need to hear more to know I’m not a fan. As far his work being ‘technically his best lyrical work’, I would have to disagree because of all the corny shit he says. His flows haven’t gotten worse, but the shit he is saying is, that’s why it has no replay value…because I would say it isn’t even worth the first listen. Like I said, Em has been a big part of my life, fundamental to my early interest in hip hop when I was just a kid, but I can’t lie to myself and say his new stuff is good. That’s just how it goes, not every artist can keep their momentum going, and to bring it back to my original point, as much as I may have loved him before, I’m not afraid to admit he his music is a joke these days.

          6. The Real Franchise says:

You made a general statement on the quality of his music then proceeded to say you haven’t heard it, at which point i stopped reading your post because you sounded like a moron. I’m certainly not going to read the wall of text you just threw up there because i’m still under the assumption that you’re a fuckin imbecile and have better things to do with my time. It’s not Em’s job to cater to what you think he should do, he’s trying to bring lyricism back to rap if you can’t understand that then move onto another artist, nobody will notice just like nobody cares what you think.

          7. BK James says:

you’re the fool here, putting words in my mouth. I made a general statement on the quality of his music, and I’ve head the majority of his music. Fuck what is or is Em’s job, I’m entitled to my opinion, maybe you should pull his dick out of your mouth and ears and you’ll see how trash most of his work has become. Unless you really like those Skylar Grey and Rihanna features, in which case your just a fuckboi.

          8. TheTruthHurts says:

My point stands, if you aren’t going to listen to an artist don’t run your mouth about them. That’s a bad ignorant look for an artist like yourself trying to promote your music. I hear plenty of trash songs in life and I don’t just start trashing what someone likes because I didn’t like a few songs. As an artist would you want your fans and yourself to be shit on for your worst song or most pop? Or would you rather they keep their fucking opinion to themselves and let your fans just enjoy it?

    2. Greenbergs says:

facts..my 67 yr old mother listened to recovery and the hits on fuse non stop for like 2 yrs and actually stopped listening to eminem …thats how you know he’s wack

  4. W4e4 says:

He really gotta stop trying to fit 300 words in to one bar and just go back to his normal flow. Everyone likes to hate on his relapse album, but if you go back and listen to it, his flow and rhyme schemes were incredible thorughout that entire album. You can barely understand half the shit he talks about now. Yes, it’s probably clever, but sometimes you just wanna throw on a record and just vibe to it without having to figure out the damn hidden meanings on rap genius. Now his lyrics are just corny jokes and nonsense. Yes, in rapping ability he’s a monster but as far as making listenable songs go, he has declined.

    1. Cartune says:

Wow, couldn’t have put it better, Em is my favorite rapper but I can 100% co-sign this!

    2. MJeezy says:

yeah! I’m a stan and I totally see where you’re coming from. I still enjoy the music, but I would rather him make music that i can actually sing along and vibe to.

    3. Greenbergs says:

thank g-d, you are the man for this comment i couldnt have put it better to these delusional stans who lap this man’s vomit up…

    4. Dope says:

I’ve been saying that since Relapse dropped, it’s a great album and in my opinion no album that came after it tops Relapse for the same reason you mention.

    5. Stop YELLING too. Rather hear the nasal passage Slim than the yelling Em to be honest but that “I’m just Marshal Mathers” talking flow is the GOLD.

Stay Wide Awake > Anything Em has released since. BTW.

Man, listen get this man HIGH. Fuck it. Idc. Do it for Elvis, B. #TIMELESS

    6. Mandrake says:

Which one is it? His lyrics are corny because you can’t understand it, or his lyrics are clever? Make up your mind. You want his old flow back? Go listen to his old shit.

    7. Toonamiguy says:

What I wouldn’t give for another ‘Sing for the Moment’…

    8. Hassan says:

“This song isn’t for you, It’s for me; A true MC.”

      Enough said.

    9. hm i agree that he doesnt make music like he use to but i still think he does make some good music but i guess u can vibe easier but fuck it im jus grateful hes still spittin and in the game he could of easily jus called it quits or worse

  8. springer85 says:

The guy below is spot on!
We all know Em has amazing ability and proved even more so with his insane 7 minute cypher.
He needs to stop rapping way to fast shouting and like the guy below said trying to fit in so many words in to one bar as it is now getting boring.
I would also say Em needs seriously to go back to Dre beats as the beats and hooks on Shady Xv are laughable and garbage with his rapping not even suiting the songs beat.
Shady XV,Fine Line and Detroit Vs Everybody verse is how he should rap in all songs, the changing of the voice like in Vegas is terrible.
Em now seems more concerned with putting out radio friendly garbage just to shift albums. The guy has sold over 120 Million why should he be concerned with album sales?
Yes I get the Rihanna duets as they both singles sold over 11 million each and helped MMLP2 and Recovery sell Millions more if he had not used her.
I want the Em back of Till I collapse, Lose Yourself, White America, Sing For The Moment, Superman and Stan is it really too much to ask?
He has the talent to do it, he just is now more concerned about album sales, radio friendly garbage mainly due to Rosenberg and it is a shame.
He has to make 1 more album with no crap beats, hooks, shouting, rapping way to fast and just slow the f..k down.

  9. Dan Karlin says:

ShadyXV is by far my least favorite effort by Em since his getting sober. Despite the lyrical acrobatics going on throughout, he seems… tired. Hell, the lead single is a song about how he’s out of new subject matter and how he’s recycling themes. The only track Em was on that I put on repeat was “Vegas”, which was insane, but the rest either felt phoned in or like he was trying too hard.

Yelawolf, though, was great on it. “Til It’s Gone” was a refreshingly original and great solo track.

  11. Lateralus1990 says:

I am 24 and have been listening to Eminem ever since I saw “My Name Is” on MTV for my first time back in 1999. When I first heard him it was like music had finally arrived for me and forever ignited a passion to enjoy it. I feel people criticize this man far too harshly. You have to think, he came out in his 20s, continued to make albums into his 30s and 40s, and has aged during that time, you understand that right? IF you were an artist using a specific outlet to express how you feel or what is on your mind do you really think you will do it the same way for over 20 years? IF you are a fan then just be a fan, no need to trash a man you claim to honor in the same breath. He is continuing to make music for his fans rather than just say “aw fuck it I already made this much $ or sold this many albums, why keep going?”. He will release something epic I predict by 2020 and it will be his Magnum Opus brought on by all the criticism he took from 2009-2015.
