Philadelphia Freeway is crack, due in large part to Ye and Just Blaze’s production. Free At Last wasn’t bad and was underappreciated. Jay shoulda showed up for the “Big Spender” video and they shoulda released that Scarface joint as a single, but it was NOT a classic..
It’s FREEWAY’s classic. That’s his best album. EVERY track wavy.
I’m a Freeway fan from 1-900 Hustler thru past his Jake One shit to his Girl Talk shit. The dude can rap, but he’s not better than Chance. His music relies too heavily on big name features (Beans, Jay) and production (Ye, Just Blaze, Jake One).
I will say this: “What We Do” shits on most of Chance’s catalog. It doesn’t make him a better artist though.
