  1. Jake Zero says:

Be careful Chris Brown, don’t make this nigga hot by speaking about him.

    1. Rena says:

Brown and Tyga are on track to sell 50K – 70K records in their first week. They should have just stayed quiet because they look really dumb right now. They can make other people hot but can’t do it for themselves?

    2. kyle74 says:

Jealousy though.. its a powerful thing and breezy’s insecurities were on display in every interview no matter how many times he tried to act like a tough “im on probation” kid

It was interesting to see his stanbase turning on him this press run because those little girls usually go up for him.
Him n tyga shoulda just renamed the album to “weHatedrake” and toured with the same name and then maybe just maybe they might have been able to beat Drake’s third week numbers

    3. Stanfield says:

Drake’s been hot before Chris Brown spoke about him.

      1. Brian B.Dot™ Miller says:

that tripped me out. Like, drake don’t need chris brown’s mention.

        1. Davide Leroy says:

it also did because you be hanging for Drake’s ball sack.

          1. DUB says:

NO BULL SHIT EVER SINCE THAT DRAKE EFFECT POST….SMFH

        2. Stanfield says:

True. Drake been consistent before the Chirs Brown situations.

        3. L - icopter says:

Chris Brown’s point is no less valid, though. He’s there to promote his work and constantly having to talk about Drake only adds to Drake’s headlines.

For example, I read a complex mag headline about some English soccer players dancing to Drake (his name was in the headline). Turns out it was a Big Sean song featuring Drake and Yeezy, but Drake got the headline. So, I definitely feel Chris Brown’s point. If he does an interview and the headline is Chris Brown talks about Drake, then that is Drake promotion.

I’m sure Chris doesn’t get paid to promote Drank, nor is that what he went up to the radio station to do.

        4. Greenbergs says:

but you gotta admit the parts of the interviews where he runs off at the mouth only help drake further..

    4. Greenbergs says:

i feel like the whole goal of tyga and chris browns lil “press run” wasn’t even promoting their album, it only promoted drake even more…

  2. Kris Kompute says:

    That’s some crazy, crazy shit.

    1. brza says:

It’s ridiculous what this kid is accomplishing and especially with a mixtape full of throwaways

  3. Waldi says:

Congrats the young Cat Drizzle. Been killin it since late 2008 I.M.O.
Cant wait for the album tho! 6 Gawd

  4. Da Business says:

Damn, this dude is a beast.

And the hate will start in 5,4,3,2,1…

  5. cj says:

wow…. i dont neccesarily like him that much but that is wild

  6. Hussle says:

    homie is unstoppable

  7. Jerome says:

He’s just past HOV in Hot 100 entries with 85 to go 5th in the all time list. Dude also tied The Beatles for the most singles on the Hot 100 list at the same time with 14. Shit is crazy..

  8. Michael Ib bett says:

Damn that’s seriously some monumental shit..21 songs in the top 50 singles

    1. Stanfield says:

It is. This proves the ppl on social media who say they hate Drake are really fans.

      1. JamesTheNiggaHatingDolphin says:

I’m a drake fan, but this mixtape was some of his worse work. I think the reason it has been so successful is because there really isn’t anything hot coming out right now. Cole was the last one to drop anything hot and that was the beginning of December. Sean and Wale don’t bring the heat. This shitty mixtape is the only thing we got until Kendrick drops. Yelawolf project has potential to be a problem as well.

        1. Padrino says:

          Sean don’t bring heat

          1. Brian B.Dot™ Miller says:

            Big Sean album is good

          2. tipp0183 says:

            really good

          3. JamesTheNiggaHatingDolphin says:

I like the album and have had it on repeat these last few days. His best work by far, but I had a pretty low expectation.

          4. JamesTheNiggaHatingDolphin says:

People are not looking for his stuff the way they look for Drake. Heat might have not been my best word choice, but I meant he doesn’t have the star power or the popularity to do Drake numbers. Kendrick numbers. Cole numbers. Kanye numbers, Jay numbers. Eminem numbers. Wayne numbers. My point is that Drake doesn’t have much competition right now from anybody on his level (the people I mentioned). If he did, he wouldn’t be charting this well.

        2. kudahfee says:

          Shut the fuck up bruh

  9. Guest says:

Lmao and he doesn’t run hip-hop?

  17. BLACKbyBLACKbyBLACK says:

This comes from a lack of True talent in the current Rap market. The game is very shallow. Out of all of the niggas in this over populated industry there’s probably only 10 of them that if they dropped an album they would more than likely sell over a 100k first week. Just think about it. In this worldstarhiphop rap generation, majority of these niggas are below average. And I blame this shit on us Black people not creating our own jobs and businesses in Amerikkka. I’ll tell you why.. Remember when Biggie said the famous “UPS are hiring” line in the Flava in ya ear remix? Well the line hold weight to this day. Instead of these niggas getting regular jobs you got these aspiring worldstar rappers making rap songs talking about about foreign and plugs without having any clout. That comes from the business side. Hip hop is corporate solely now and that’s why the market is weak. You got more niggas name dropping designer clothes brands than actual bars. It’s become a fad in the past 20 years to sell a lifestyle or image over talent. It’s like selling dope, any smart nigga will tell you that dealers don’t sell dope it’s dope that sells itself. It doesn’t take a Masters Degree in efficiency to sell a dream or fix to feens. That’s how you got dudes in rap videos with gold chains and watches before even knowing WTF he is. It’s the business. And we have a bunch of mixtape rappers selling a faux lifestyle to a fickle marginal audience vs True artists like K Dot, Drake, KRIT, J COLE. Logic doesn’t hold any weight in the streets but Young Scooter, Gucci, RHQ, Cheif keef etc makes waves. There’s a new hot mixtape nigga every 4 months and they’ll dominant the airwaves and clubs but I’ll ask you.. When the last time you heard Big KRIT in thr club or radio yet he and others like him can actually sell an ALBUM and tour the world massively. So yeah Drake cool or whateva but averaging a Double double In The D- League doesn’t make you legendary

    1. Itsastyles says:

I completely and 100% agree with just about everything you said…But I couldn’t tell if you were applauding Drake’s accomplishment or hating on it. Either way man for any artist in our genre, culture, this is monumental man. He did what it took HOV to do in what, Almost 20 years and HOV I only say becausehe’s looked at as one of our icons of this day. And he drops more namebrands than Kanye at Fashion Week. But I feel you as far as getting a job, but why does everyone have to do the same thing?! Like get a job, when they know they can do more man?! Then they have a job, and say they have a hobby like ‘rapping’ or ‘basketball’ on the side, then everyone encourages then to follow that dream. So everyone is a hypocrite at the end of the day you see?! So sometimes we all need to do what’s best for us. and he did what he thought was best for him to get this accomplishment.

      1. marty mcfly says:

By Hov’s third album he sold 5 million copies. That was huge back then. Thats within three years of him coming in the game.

      2. BLACKbyBLACKbyBLACK says:

Ima start with the last part of your response. I was referring to Wack rappers not Drake or any Dope artist with a legit fanbase. It was based around the legendary Biggie line. Now back to business.. I’m not saying Drake didn’t accomplish something great I’m saying really by what standard?? It’s not like he’s competition against B.I.G, Pac, Nas, Snoop & Dogg pound, Outkast, Ice Cube, Eminem, Canibus, Busta Rhymes, The Lox, Hov, Ugk et etc.. He’s competition with Rich Gang and “I don’t got know type” kids.. I’m sorry if not quick to proclaim him Rap God. I’m objective I analyze so when I look at the current music market like I said before it’s shallow. There’s a influx of gimmicks and trash rappers compared to the Ab Soul’s of the world. And don’t get me started with RnB. RnB has been dead for a decade.

    2. marty mcfly says:

I gotta disagree with you on this on. You make it sound as if Drake’s success is somehow every other niggas fault or lack of dope music? Lupe just dropped an album so there is other dope shit out there. Drake has 3 fanbases, R&B, Hip Hop and Pop. Combined thats just a huge pool of people. Purely MCs dont have a huge following like that and black MCs like Fashawn, Cyhi, Curren$y just don’t have that kinda following but its no they fault why Drake is doing what he’s doing though. Females by albums, hip hop heads don’t. Pop fans buy albums, hip hop heads don’t. White kids buy albums, black kids create the culture that leads to them being the artists that make albums…

      1. BLACKbyBLACKbyBLACK says:

Your point about unions was G, I agree wholeheartedly. But the point I hope you got was that I’m not saying he’s not talented. I mean I did include Drake in my true artist list. What I’m saying is Hip Hop is corporate and for every Curren$y and Lupe Fiasco there’s 10 snootie wilds and Young scooters. Talented artist are fading out like the point I made for Big KRIT. But it’s a business and the premise of it now is to sell garbage. I’m not saying their isn’t any dope artist in Hip Hop I’m saying the majority of artist in the club and on the radio, not named Drake, Big Sean, K Dot whenever he’s on and a few others are garbage and lame, ya dig? That’s who you can have Chief keef and Gucci and Rocko drop a hundred mixtape and out of 15 only 2 do numbers. It’s basic quantity over quality. There’s a hundred niggas rapping like the Migos or Future or Wayne.3 years ago it was 2chainz, that’s quantity. Curren$y and freddie Gibbs now that Quality. And the business part was simple dawg I had hoped you got it. My point if you remember the Biggie line was B.I.G was making fun of WACK rappers so he said get a job don’t worry UPS are hiring. Not a exact quote but you get the premise. I’m Pan-Afrikan so my views towards my people. But I’ll build on that later if necessary

        1. marty mcfly says:

Yeah I hear what you saying but I think slowly but surely the wack niggas is finding it hard to keep up with the dope ones these days. The wack rappers you named are still holding down a certain lane that was left over from the whole ATL, trap and strip club era but thats slowly coming to an end commercially.

          1. BLACKbyBLACKbyBLACK says:

            I feel you. Respect

    3. marty mcfly says:

If Hip Hop is to create better jobs first the artists need to unionize. These rappers come in the game in their early 20s and most times its with no money so the kinda of growth your looking for in business is gonna have to come from young niggas starting to think like 40 year olds in their early 20s instead of just being artists. Then maybe you’ll start to see a greater level of business.

    4. kudahfee says:

Go the fuck back to africa

      1. BLACKbyBLACKbyBLACK says:

        HAA

  18. Sina Mailer Daemon Djavadkhani says:

    amazin!

  19. Datwon says:

    So where’s the classic album?

    1. pickaname says:

like take care isn´t a classic.

    2. Da Business says:

U can disagree all you want but, “Take Care” is a classic.

      1. JamesTheNiggaHatingDolphin says:

Take Care his weakest. The album hasn’t aged well…just sounds dated. Thank Me Later and NWTS are far better.

        1. Patrick Griffin says:

Agreed Thank Me Later is better I actually think that’s his best work. NWTS I can’t agree with..Aside from Maybe the first four tracks it was mediocre to me..

  20. Selorm Amuzu says:

Had 50cent done this alot of people would be screaming legendary if J.Cole done this with Forest Hill you would be screaming the same and don’t get me started with Kendrick, It’s hard enough to get three songs from an album to top 100 let alone an entire project… Drake’s been that dude love him or hate him … it’s pretty evident on the scoreboard

    1. Mylo says:

Huh had any artist did this they get props…

      1. Selorm Amuzu says:

nahh the way people are hating as if this isn’t a legendary feat because it’s Drake is the reason for my comment. It’s easy to get at Drake because he’s no one’s idea of Legendary material (i’ll admit that myself) it does say a lot to have an entire project in the top 100 chart

      2. Earl Butler says:

first one in history. not even mike jack

  21. 2Real>Trill says:

Baby sitting around rubbing his hands telling Wayne to Count up youngin. This a milestone for Drake but he going to make like 17 dollars off them sells

  22. Adam Arsenal says:

“I’m halfway through the race, and I’m already celebrating”. He sure is. Incredible achievement.

  23. lostprodigy says:

“Walk up in my label like where the check doe” “Wouldn’t dap you with the left Hoe”

More like Baby’s Mixtape Cracks billboard.

  24. iLLbeYo5to9 says:

    Drake is way way up

  25. Chronic says:

He’s just the 2015 version of the Backstreet Boys

  26. Trilles[Tx] says:

Drake deserves it. Drake, Kendrick, and J. Cole are reigniting the culture. Thanks to the homies that kept it going while they were comin’ up.

    1. Earl Butler says:

and big sean. that dude shit dope

      1. Trilles[Tx] says:

He dope af, but I don’t put him on the same level as those 3 artists.

  27. F*ck Drake says:

His mixtape/album was good at best but you got to give props to this guy. Probably the best mainstream rap artist ever.

  28. Greenbergs says:

are we really gonna go ahead and call this shit a mixtape still? cmon son.

  29. Megamind says:

As I stated before…first off congrats to the boi! It’s his time…until Yeezy Season and KL come through and crush the buildings.

Back to the point…numbers never lies but they don’t tell the whole truth. All these songs are charting as a result of streaming reported to RIAA via Spotify and other services. This isn’t a situation where these songs are getting massive radio play, etc. This is a great feat no less, no to trivialize because I despise that…BUT its just a situation of it being new and most fans, aren’t BUYING content…they’re streaming it. There has yet to be a definable single on the project. But overall I like it!…songs like Know Yourself, Madonna, Preach, Community…he stuck to the safe route of what he knows. I actually find it more listenable than his last album which I did a lot of skipping around, this project is a more continuous play.

He wimped out calling it a “mixtape”…they figured they’d pull a Beyonce, if it didn’t work…it’s a mixtape…Should’ve just said it’s an album…it’s counting as one towards his contractual obligations. Oh well!

    Yeezy and KL coming soon!!!!

    Megamind

    1. Earl Butler says:

radio isn’t the same median as before. digital is the wave, so actually the numbers are the whole fat truth.

      1. Earl Butler says:

Plus, it was supposed to be a mixtape. label bureaucracy made it for sell. drama was supposed to do the tape.

      2. Megamind says:

The numbers are DEFINITELY not the truth! Trust me…I work in the biz…i’ll just leave it like this…the equivalent of 1 song bought on iTunes which typically cost 1.29/.99 is 100 streams. So how is that equivalent?? See the numbers are all fudged now. Back when MJ, Madonna, U2, Prince…shit even Jay, Nelly, Em, Luda we’re selling singles and album…they were REALLY selling singles and albums. I don’t care HOW they try to spin it, but 100 million streams AIN’T 100 million sold! Google “Pharrell “Happy” song Pandora royalties”

        Megamind

        1. The Incredible Creation says:

true.. u have any other social media accounts? would love to follow u….

  30. Dev says:

    This Mixtape is sick.

  31. Mike Markidis says:

Why are they calling it a muxtape when it’s not available on datpiff or any other mixtape website?

  32. THE REAL mac DIESEL says:

GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENT BUT THAT MIXTAPE ALBUM IS WACK!!!! 6 PM IN NY IS THE ONLY SOLID CUT ON THERE!!!! STOP THE FRONTIN’!!!!

    DON’T HATE ON MY OPINION!!!!

  33. Beef says:

Tupac once said: “yo if you wanna make your money, you gotta rap for the bitches…Do not rap for the niggas”, (…) “Don’t rap for the niggas, rap for the bitches. The bitches will buy your records, and the niggas want what the bitches want.”.

I kinda feel like the boy drake got that part understood when he was studying the rap game.
