New Music: De La Soul x Nas “God It”

God’s Sons.

Thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign, De La Soul will release their eighth album. While the album boasts features from 2 Chainz, and Little Dragon this track with Nas didn’t make the cut. Says Dave:

While busy at work, we also like to play. This song is not on the new album, but an indication of good music to come. The song was produced by G_Force and you may recognize our featured guest. We’re still in Atlanta recording and it sounds amazing! We can’t wait to get this new album to you.

Great record by 2 legendary artist. Good to see De La taking using a modern approach to making a new album. Dope concept. And their fanbase is a REAL one.

Interesting how it all comes full circle. Back in the day your generation called De La Soul Soft.
Your comment is proof that the people who say “This generation blah bla blah” are being idiotic and is an emotional response to something you cannot describe deeper. Maybe your generation should have studied more.

  4. Gordon says:

I have a hard time believing they need 100k to record an album, it was probably just a way to get fans excited for an album. Cause ain’t no one checking for them.

    1. marty mcfly says:

They brought in musicians to play live for a bunch of different sessions (which probably costed alot depending on how many musicians played and for how long it took…) and then went in to create the album after they had all fresh new music. They sampled the live sessions. If no ones checking for them? Ok they still Hip Hop legends that basically influenced the entire underground scene from the late 90s to the first decade of 2000s…

    2. MR. UNDI$PUTED THE MOGUL says:
