Earned It.
Tell your friends, XO is on top. This week, The Weeknd’s sophomore album will take the gold medal in the Billboard Top 200 with 325, 267 in first week sales. This will marks his first number one debut. Beauty Behind The Madness is available now. Congrats!
Drake effect or nah?
Nah, more like 50 Shades of Grey effect. Drake got him his start and made people familiar initially however, his quality work is what made him sustain his core fan base. After, Drake and Abel split he was still doing his thing with his mixtapes. He re-released his mixtapes in the Trilogy and that did well but that Earned It track really took him to another level broadening his already big fan base to more people who probably wouldn’t listen to his music. Salute to Abel he did some real numbers, considering he doesn’t do any interviews or press. He is the definition of letting the music speak for itself.
Agreed.
Real recognize real and I appreciate that good ghetto gospel you just spit.
Agree note. # battlersptrap queen before donuts
I agree with you both
The Weeknd made Take Care, Drakes best album. It’s the other way around
Drake isn’t Drake by himself.
Everyone knows that but no ones to admit that cuz everyone is a bitch now. Hip hop is dead
Well we (still) got Kendrick and Cole.
…What?!
Facts bro, the weeknd wrote half the album
You just a Drake hater huh..?!?!
For speaking the truth? It’s s fact the weeknd wrote half the songs on that album
so 4 songs from an 18 song project is half an album?
old hip hop fans don’t know proper math apparently.
No I clearly stated its about 8 songs mostly the rnb ones. Good ones go was among the list too
the booklet says other wise bro.
you mean the song where the weeknd says ‘oh’ twice at the end of an 8 minute song?
He didn’t contribute anything to Take Care other than background vocals on a few tracks. still a dope singer tho!
Nah he wrote half of that album. Songs like shot for me, the real her, and practice were all written by him and like 5 more I can’t recall. Still fw Drake though
As I said before, Abel didn’t contribute anything to Take Care other than background vocals. Been following Drake & Abel avidly from both of their mixtape days, so you’re either extremely ignorant to how Take Care came about or looking for attention.
That trolling shit might work for the casual listener of both camps, not for everyone else.
Lool leave @ogoorizu:disqus alone dude is the resident Drake hater on this site. He tries to take shots at Drake every chance he gets.
Just peeped his comments history and realized he’s a troll with almost 1k posts on here. I should’ve done that before I replied to him lol
He is right to an extent. The weeknd did write on that album but it was like a good 20 percent and the rest were just vocals. But practice definitely was not one of them n he should get credit for contributing but not as much as bro givin him
Yeah I know the weekend helped, but it was more in the production side, vocals and some hooks. Drake likes to surround himself with people that have a very good sound so that he can get good beats from them, just like he is doing with partynextdoor right now. The weekend didn’t make take care like that delusional guy claims.
I’m a Drake fan but I’m not a blind one. He’s a pop star not a rapper but I enjoy the music nonetheless. People like you hear the truth and call it hate because you’d rather lie to yourself for your emotional hero
I’m not trolling, The weeknd wrote shot for me, the real her, practice, good ones go, and about 3 other songs on that album. There’s an interview about it in YouTube. Drake isn’t Drake by himself and everyone knows that but doesn’t want to admit it
….NAH
I agree with you both .
If that’s the case, pnd would’ve blown crazy. It’s called hard work and mastering your craft.
