Fresh off their successful summer with their biopic, Straight Outta Compton, N.W.A. has earned another nod for the upcoming Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. The nominees were announced today which include artists Janet Jackson, Chaka Khan, The Spinners and more. This marks the group’s fourth nomination. Says Ice Cube:
“I am humbled by the nomination and recognition of NWA’s contribution to music and culture by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It has been an incredible year for us as a group, for our loyal fans and in helping us to all keep Eazy-E’s memory alive.”
Selections will be announced in December with the induction ceremony next April.Cast your votes here.

The greatest hip hop group of all time for a generation of millions for so many reasons. Their family tree spawned hip hop greats after they crafted some of the most prolific music of any genre!!!

Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff were the first Hip Hop artists to receive a Grammy (and yes I know that their trophy was presented during the Pre-Grammy’s) and Three Six Mafia won an Academy Award for their record on the “Hustle & Flow” soundtrack! Why would I be mad that THE most influential rap group of all time being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? They were the soundtrack to my adolescence.
