One of the keys to having a hit record is being able to unify large groups of people, and “Trap Niggas” did that seemingly without even trying. If you’ve ever been in a spot when that song comes on and seen a sea of hands rise to the sky when Future says, “God blessing all the trap niggas,” then God has truly blessed you too.

The organic buzz of the hit must have surprised Future’s label, because they eventually tacked it onto the deluxe version of DS2 only once it was already hugely popular. The gulf between offices and street corners can be wide, but “Trap N*ggas” electrified the latter and startled the former until they collided. Such is the power of incredible music.
