Church.
Royce Da’ 5’9″s peeling back next month with his forthcoming album, Layers To hear what’s the come, take a listen to this autobiographical track produced by S1 and J.Rhodes. In an email to Complex, Royce says:
“My career is a true testament that everything is possible with hard work, dedication and determination. Layers is 100 percent Royce 5’9”. I love rapping and creating music with Marshall, Slaughterhouse, and Premier because they all inspire me creatively in different ways. I haven’t released a solo album in five years and I’ve been through a lot with my sobriety and different situations; and now its time for me to tell my story. Layers is the beginning chapters of me telling my story.”

I thought of that exact line when I saw the Ross feature. Whatever though, maybe they’re actually starting to act like grown men and put their differences aside.
I agree my nigga
actually i remember on “Keep It 100” Royce praised Khaled getting him that Ross verse right quick while Big Sean was ducking his calls so its probably legit
Great song, god aint shit tho
Word. Love the song, but how ya granny dying in a hospital she didn’t live near mean anything? You just said she was an in accident. If she was in the car, of course she probably wasn’t near home.
I think he was saying how God put everyone together at the same place yo witness life and death *shrugs*
It means something when your baby is being born in exactly the same hospital at the same time. It’s like an extra layer, which is also the album title.
tracklist looks pretty good
This is incredible.
Autobiographical Royce is a refreshing change.
Damn!!! that nigga got a bitch on labour on the 9th floor.. Plus his grandma in critical condition on the 5th floor and has a show the same night.
