Its about passion and legacy. With 40, he been a hustla so its not even about the money because he was investing his money in the early 90s already. Its just about passion and legacy. In R&B, Rock n Roll, Country, Gospel, Pop, Classical etc… They don’t really “retire”. They go until death or until their not physically able or they just find a new passion. Hip Hop is the only music where your expected to just stop for no reason.
