The Carters “Black Effect” In Philly
Higher
The Carters are good on any boulevard. Including any street in the City of Brotherly Love. Last night, JAY-Z and Beyonce’s OTR 2 tour made its way to Philly’s Lincoln Financial Field. After “BAM”, they switched up the set with a first live performance of “Black Effect.”
During the run in Paris, Hov and BB gave a live debut performance of their Everything Is Love‘s lead single,”Apeshit,” in celebration of France’s World Cup victory earlier in the day (July 15). Since the kick-off of the U.S. leg in Cleveland, they incorporated the track into their set list, with fans anticipating additional new songs added going forward.
In related news, JAY-Z and Philly Mayor Jim Kenney met for the first time at a private meeting backstage prior to the show. Last week, both parties came to an agreement to keep the Made In America festival in the city after it was previously announced talks to relocate the event. They good.
Really enjoyed meeting Jay-Z tonight. We’re both very excited about the future of @MIAFestival here in Philly. pic.twitter.com/dUK3ErNvRv
