Since the last three days, 21 Savage woke up as a free man. This morning, he sat down with Good Morning America for his first interview since his release from ICE on Wednesday.

During his one-on-one with ABC News correspondent Linsey Davis, 21 spoke on his experience when Immigration & Custom Enforcement agents took him into custody. He emphasized that he was targeted for the arrest and that he was unaware that his visa had expired. 21 also discussed when he came to the U.S. and how he plans to help pay for a fellow inmate’s stay at a retirement home.

During the broadcast of 21 Savage’s post-jail interview, the rapper’s hired lawyer made a live appearance on the show to discuss the ongoing situation and his team’s next moves. There’s still “ a lot” to be done.
