Kanye West has just scored his ninth consecutive no. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 charts, with his ninth album, Jesus Is King.

In its first week, the 11-track LP moved 264,000 equivalent album units, making it the current second largest debut this year. Of that total, 109,000 were in traditional sales and 3,000 were in TEA units. Jesus Is King is also now currently the fifth largest streamed project of the year with its 196.9 million on-demand audio streams (151,000 SEA units).

Surpassing The Beatles’ total of eight, Kanye has now tied Eminem with the most consecutive no. 1 debuts with nine. The only album from Kanye’s catalog that did not debut at no. 1 was his first album, College Dropout, which debuted at no. 2 in 2004. Among all acts, his big brother Jay-Z still holds the most no. 1 debuts overall with 14, but they were not all consecutive. Congrats, Yeezy!
