50 Cent Receives Star On Hollywood Walk of Fame
50 gets a star.
Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has officially earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The event took place in front of The W Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard on Thursday (January 30).
During the ceremony, Curtis was presented the prestigious award by
Starz CEO Chris Albrecht and was reunited by mentors Dr. Dre and Eminem, who were among the hundreds of guests in attendance. Eminem took the podium to speak on his protege’s accomplishments, before 50 himself gave an emotional acceptance speech.
50 Cent’s role in Hollywood dates back to 2005, where he made his acting debut starring as Marcus “Young Caesar” Greer in Get Rich Or Die Trying.
Fast forwarding 15 years in film and television, 50 is gearing up for this Sunday’s (February 2) of his executive-produced drama series, Power‘s series finale. On February 11, he will also premier his executive-produced ABC drama For Life. 50 Cent is the future, and the future is now.
