Verzuz: Ashanti vs. Keyshia Cole
Hey ladies.
After couple of delays, Ashanti and Keyshia Cole finally went head-to-head in the latest R&B installment of Verzuz.
On Thursday (Jan. 21), the Murder Inc. princess and Oakland’s beloved songstress sat at their individual thrones from their separate locations for a ladies night of epic hits. The two R&B divas went twenty rounds of their early classics (“I Changed My Mind”,”Rock Wit U”), sultry ballads (“I Shoulda Cheated”, “Rain On Me”), their most favorable collaborations (“Last Night”, “Always On Time”), and many more.
During Keyshia Cole’s “Love” song, O.T. Genasis, who covered the song in 2019 with his version “Never Knew“, made an unexpected and humorous appearance laughing and singing along to her song. Both Keyshia and Ashanti also premiered each of their upcoming singles.
The Ashanti vs. Keyshia Cole was postponed twice due to COVID-19 and the Capitol riot. They battle follows Verzuz’ previous E-40 vs. Too $hort.
