Fetty Wap Arrested On Federal Drug Charges

Fetty Wap was apprehended by the FBI in New York and detained on federal drug charges.
The “Trap Queen” rapper was taken into custody prior to his scheduled performance at New York’s Rolling Loud music festival at Citi Field on Thursday (Oct. 28).
The 30-year-old from Patterson, New Jersey, was among the six individuals, including a correctional officer, that were charged with dealing cocaine, heroin and fentanyl. Five of the defendants were also charged with using firearms in connection with drug trafficking.
According to ABC7NY, prosecutors allege the defendants transported, distributed, and sold more than 100 kilograms of narcotics across New Jersey and New York. During the investigation, federal agents obtained $1.5 million in cash, 16 kilograms of cocaine, 2 kilograms of heroin, fentanyl pills, pistols, handguns, and a rifle.
Fetty Wap and his co-defendants were ordered detained pending trial and face a maximum of life imprisonment if convicted.
