With ScHoolboy Q’s Blue Lips album in the horizon, the TDE artist drops another offering in the form of “Yeern 101”.
Directed by James Edward and ScHooboy Q himself, the matching visuals finds the L.A. rapper dropping some of his most introspective rhymes to date. “Got a porch light skin and the ceiling got pilled / I was twenty plus year when this shit got real,” he raps from a mansion, a golf course, and more.
“Young black boy, ran and got me out of that field / Made a living off gang, you should get it on film,” he continues during production of the video from behind the scenes. “I ain’t never your kind, late but I’m really on time / Girl, what you put in your mind, I ain’t givin’ your sign.”
“Yeern 101” comes on the heels of ScHoolboy Q’s recent double-release “Blueslides” and “Back N Love”. Blue Lips is scheduled to drop March 1.
