Polo G’s been working on his long-awaited album, Hood Poet for a minute, and release the project’s latest single, “Angels In The Sky”.

In the accompanying music video, the Chicago rapper reflects on the harsh upbringing and the lost of loved ones while locked in his cell and during an interrogation.

“Gotta pray over your kids because it’s dangerous in the Chi / Walking slow up to that casket, tears raining from his eyes / Homies left forever, I ain’t get to wave and say goodbye / Hard-bodied, and we’re gangsters, but that pain done made us cry.”

Hood Poet is Polo G’s upcoming fourth album, which has since released “Cloudy Sky” and “Sorrys & Ferraris”.
