Video: MGK Ft. Jelly Roll “Lonely Road”

MGK and Jelly Roll persevere through the struggles on their new collaboration, “Lonely Road”.

Channeling John Denver’s 1971 song “Take Me Home, Country Roads”, the two reflect on the journey through the highs and lows of heartbreaks and tough times.

The accompanying video, centers the partners on the verge of losing their auto shop which leads to MGK pulling a bank robbery to recover. He sings, “I’ma go downtown / Ain’t been in a long time / I’m taking back Sundays / Since you took away my life,” while Jelly Roll adds, “I hear the devil wears Prada, but I couldn’t read the tags / And your horn started showing when I see you mad.”

“Lonely Road” follows MGK’s “BMXXing“. Meanwhile, Jelly Roll can be heard on Eminem’s “Somebody Save Me” of The Death Of Slim Shady (Coupe de Grâce).

Haven’t been on rap radar, or peeped in secular music for a min. I’m blown away by how unbelievably corny this “top5” is. This just ain’t it. Romanticized evil. Somebody’s got to tell them this is wack. But the check to produce is too big, so let the camera roll. lol “art” jeez laweez
