DMX appeared on Dr. Drew’s Lifechangers yesterday afternoon. He spoke on his troubled past and disciplining his 10 kids. Yes, 10. He also mentored an at risk teenager and then gave a performance of his new record, “Keep Your Head Up”.

Do Americans really think it’s ok to “spank” their kids? …. this is insane. You get a couple of months in jail for laying hands on a kid in northern europe.
@ron burgundy
cause europe is a soft ass country g! lol
anyways, shout out to DMX, real life music never fails..glad to see him back on his feet and hopefully back on top where he should be.
[…] We first heard about the possibility of DMX appearing on VH1’s celebrity rehab while he was still in prison. That never happened but Dr. Drew finally got to DMX earlier this week. On his show Lifechangers, the doc was able to have some heart to heart convo with X. Earl revealed more details about his tough childhood, specifically the physical abuse he was subject to from his mother. (Thanks to B.Dot) […]
X is the real deal.

[…] The interview is pretty lengthy but it’s a pretty eye-opening look at one of hip-hop’s most storied trouble makers. As Dr. Drew so necessarily points out, Earl, the man behind the character, actually seems like a pretty sensitive guy. Y’know, when he’s not beating his kids or jumping from prison sentence to prison sentence or barking unprovoked in people’s faces. There’s also a pretty nice little segment where X and his producer (“Caviar”) offer a troubled kid an internship. The motorcycle, we’ll assume, is something he’ll receive off camera. DMX is the realest. I see him as a continuation of what Pac was about, just as I see Jay being the continuation of BIG. If DMX wouldn’t have gone through that drug bullshit, he would’ve been Jay’s best competition. And if it were to happen, fuck a Nas vs. Jay-Z, DMX vs. Jay-Z would’ve been the best rap beef ever.
And the “beef” they had actually a few years ago doesn’t count for X being not as relevant anymore. I’m talking about their primes. Fuck, a Rocafella vs. Ruff Ryders would’ve been the shiiiit.
@firepower
it was still too early for me, my brain was out of sync! CONTINENTAL EUROPE
GLAD TO SEE X BACK ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY DOING POSITIVE THINGS FOR HIS LIFE
