Even if he was prez won’t make a diffrence. Def Jam stop giving a fuck about hip-hop even when Jay-Z was president. He started signing pop artist Rihanna, Ne-Yo, and Officer Ricky.

we all know that the last time new york was poppin, runnin radio and mtv without selling out was when irv was doing his thing. He blew jayz, dmx, and ja rule up, redman and method man was goin plat on def jam; and because all of those rappers was eating, you had swizz, the lox and ruff ryders eating, the roc was getting fat, wu tang was eating, kieth muarry and eric sermon was eating, etc.
stop frontin on irv, when he has talent he knows what to do with it. And im no city hater,im from the chi, I know the south was poppin back then too, cash money, trick daddy etc., but lets not act like when irv got put on pause def jam and new york hip hop fell apart and the south filled the void with the texas/atl movement. Only def jam nigga from that era still standing is jigga.
irv was the strongest link, they took him out and the chain fell apart, not even jay z could save it.
Irv needs to stop talking about the whole Def Jam bullshit and just make himself hot again. No one is gonna hand you a job for what you did how ever many years ago. It’s all about what you are doing now and Irv ain’t doing shit except talking about what he did back in the day.
