Yo, as far as rappers that have come into the game since 2000 going off just quality as far as wordplay/flow no one is better than Lupe. In fact, the only rapper that’s debuted after 2000 that I would say is OVERALL better than Lupe, is Kanye. I only say that cause Kanye’s first two albums (in my opinion) are slightly (very slightly) better than Lupe’s and the fact that he’s much more successful and has a little better appeal. Those things (in my eyes) make Kanye the better “overall” package. But just off skills alone then Lupe>Yeezy.
Dear God I love good Hip-Hop! Niggas need to step their bars up around these guys. Nuff respect due to Lupe on this shit. Keep it coming! This week has been great with new Jay Elec, Nas, Lupe, Mos Def killing Da Cypher……….I love this shit man, if only all my favorites could sell as much records as the niggas spitting that garbage the world would be a better place. Peace to Lupe for this gift, i got this on repeat til someone comes with something better!

Why does there always have to be a competition? Every rapper is in there own lane, Drake cant do what Lupe does, Lupe cant do what Drake does. Same goes for the age old Nas vs. Jay debate. Ive realized that at the end its all about who is your personal favorite, who is the best to you, not who is the best or my guy is better than your guy. This dawned on me when someone with a straight face can say Boosie, Gucci Mane, Plies, OJ da Juiceman, or anyone along those lines are talented MCs in any shape, form, or fashion. Those people could never present an arguement good enough for me to see things the way they do so i give up. Likewise, those guys could never fuck with shit like Lupe’s, Jay Elec, Nas’, etc so its a stalemate.
lupe killed this but truthfully… yall need to stop the drake/lupe thing…although im not a big on drake and do agree lupe is better on this you gotta understand that 1 drake was writing a song to this beat with a song concept in mind and not a freestyle the approach is much different 2. Lupe wrote after he heard the song which gives him an advantage bcuz he can assess what he has to do to kill what he heard
but overall this shit is crazy

I’ve been telling all my people that Lupe is the best rapper ever since his mixtape’s. When people was on the Wayne craze Lupe was being over looked. LUPE FIASCO > ALL THE OTHER RAPPERS. There is this one rapper though that’s pretty dope too that a lot of people don’t know about, his name is IronClad. Check out his Steez Freestyle track and his Villian’s track.
