K.R.I.T.’s album, Live From The Underground debuted at #4 this week, and to thank all the fans for all their support, he decided to release a track that he produced. You’re far too kind.
I fux w/ Krit heavy, but compared to the mixtapes the lp was a let down. I’m pretty sure it’s not his fault, but damn…

^ I don’t understand why niggas are expecting mixtapes for artist albums… In this day and age its just not gonna happen. Krit album was a solid debut I can’t really complain I mean he is signed to Def Jam, they don’t even really fuck with hip-hop over there no more.
A simple ‘thank you’ seems to be the hardest thing to do for artists these days, how real is that?

Whoever expected an album that is structured and sounding like his mixtapes needs to start making usage of his brain
Unlike a mixtape, an album does not have about 20 tracks and sampling is one of the major issues
Additionally, there is a major label behind it, OF COURSE this DOES have an effect

No need for the name calling and disrespect, I just gave an opinion. I’m a fan just like u are.
Both of u gave solid points on the KRIT situation and I understand that when dealing w/ a major label most of the time the artist has to compromise their art to get a release date, look what they did to Lupe.
That being said, in this current state of the industry, who needs a major label now a days??? If u’re not a pop act, nobody is buying ur lp anyway, so y compromise @ this point.
As far as Krit is concern, I was referring more so to the content more than anything. As I said earlier, I’m a fan of KRIT and will continue to support this dude, but the label is fucking shit up.
No thank you, 4 albums for $9.99. I don’t care what B. thinks this dude is the truth. When the last time you heard harmonicas on a hip-hop debut? No ones fuckin with KRIT sonically!

The album could have been much better. Im just not feeling it that much. The last 5 tracks were amazing tho and showed great lyricism and harmony. If the whole album sounded alittle more like that and less like “what you mean” and other tracks that didnt stand out, then it would been wayyy better. Congrats to Krit tho. Still one of the realest niggas doing it.

I listened to his album the same time I listened to Curren$y album and I must say Spitta had the much better album. I enjoyed that album a lot, and listening to KRITs in comparison, I just didnt enjoy it as much as I enjoyed KRIT Wuz Here. I understand label stuff and all that, but I feel like he couldve done better. There are not a lot of memorable tracks on the album like KRIT Wuz Here which had several. Only songs I really loved was My Sub 2 and I guess the Anthony Hamilton track and the tracks towards the end. But I knew I wouldnt like the album much because I didnt like 4eva N A Day much either.
Im still rooting for KRIT and respect dude heavily but I dunno. Spitta really impressed me with his joint while KRIT kinda let me down. Spitta had to make it up anyway cuz his last good project was Covert Coup. Verde Terrace and Weekend At Burnies were kinda weak. But overall, ima still be checking for KRIT.

Meant to pick this & spitta up last week. Will have to hit target or best buy & support these two.
I bought this because he graced us with three nice mixtapes for free. Keep doing your thing KRIT, you have my support.
But if the whole album sounded like the last 5 songs, then there wouldn’t be any variety, and the sales we see now would’ve been much less. Not everybody wants to hear an album full of songs like that, you have to have variety.
When I first listened to the album, I was mad disappointed. But since then it’s been on repeat. He dropped a fucking classic. If y’all don’t like it then take your hate elsewhere.
Only song I don’t like is what you mean, and the hooks are a little too simple throughout the album. Other than that, real solid. 4/5

K.R.I.T. is everything that’s RIGHT with hip-hop…and his major label debut is dope! His album had the perfect mix of soul, lyrical content, trunk music, etc. just like his mixtapes. Nobody is the same 7 days a week. Check out his song “Somedayz” and it’ll explain it all. lol Keep putting out that heat Krizzle!
I personally enjoyed Krit’s album, when I listen to his mixtapes and album I here Outkast Southernplayalistic, Aquemini, and Stankonia material. I would want to hear Outkast and Krit on a track or two together. Keep up the good work.
