Last night on Hot 97, The Kingpin spoke on the fuckery surrounding Beans and Hov. During Roc-A-Fella’s heyday, Flex’s show was the Roc’s battlefield. But after these recent events, there probably won’t be anymore shots fired.

Can’t be mad at Flex for sayin’ that. As he said, he knows these dudes from years back, and I’m sure he’s dealt with shit like that himself. Dudes like Jaz, to me, had an opportunity and opted not to take it. At that point, he had the freedom to go do his own thing and blow up on his own. It didn’t happen that way for him. And even after that, he got a show-stealing spot on a Jay video that got more rotation than any of his own videos ever did. Still, it didn’t pop off for him. So why, in 2009, is this nigga still yapping like Jay has wronged him so much or did something to stifle him? I just don’t see it. I scratch my head at this shit every time.
As far as the Jay/Beanie shit- I still can’t call it. I agree with Flex that Jay just shoulda let Beanie go do his thing and get his money. It didn’t benefit either of them to hold Beanie on the label, so why not cut the ties?

what i see is this:
Jay cut alot of niggas off but the way he did it was so “one night stand”, “jump-off-ish”. we don’t know what went on behind scenes but the end results seem to favor that.
think back to teiarra mari. they dropped her from the label with a phone call, after business hours, on the night of her prom. how foul is that? that could have been handled on a monday in a office with him being straight up and severing their ties. but he didn’t, he had some random mofo do the dirty work. and from what i hear still hasn’t even spoken to the girl. foul.
Next The Dynasty amil was 1st..she stated she ain’t know why she was dropped neither and jay nor dame gave her the boot it was an email or text from carlene if im not mistaken. wow! not even a phone call? wheres your integrity? then you diss shorty in records. how foul.
Now Beans. not sure how communication was dismantled but 2 years without speaking is kindof a wake up call saying “hey, uhh, we done”. but for beans to be as loyal and committed as he was, he deserved a sit down to at least give a formal dismissal or vice versa.
