Yeah but luckily for Wale his album is solid. I don’t throw around the term Classic but I can honestly say that The Gifted does not have one weak track on it. If the people don’t recognize that then I don’t know what dude has to do.

I said it before and ill say it again amazing production but the verses should of been geared towards a gf relationship not your relationship with your city or whatever. I mean it’s cool and I’d bump it if I was a dc boy but here in Cali people ain’t looking for those verses

Just listened to ‘The Gifted’ & I was VERY impressed.
It’s one of the best produced hip hop albums in years, is incredibly cohesive, has some great hooks, harmonies & refreshing song concepts (he talks about misinformation in the digital era, on a song called ‘Gullible’).
Wale also comes correct most of the time (even though he’s not as dope a lyricist as he thinks he is).
It has its flaws but overall, it’s a solid 4/5.
I find it interesting that the album of the year so far (IMO) dropped the week after hip hop’s ‘monumental showdown’.
