Trinidad Jame$ ruffled some feathers during his performance last night at the Converse Rubber Tracks Studio in New York. In the clip above, he claims that New York has fallen off and that the South is running this rap shit. Below, he responds to his fans’ reactions via IG.

This is about NY and it’s lack of impact on the culture in the last 8 years. 10 years ago you could hear dipset, or a styles p record playing everywhere on the radio. Even with the times changing and with music’s evolution why can’t NY hip-hop have that same impact today? Because NY artist aren’t evolving there following.

New York is a victim of their own karma for being bias unaccepted and unresponsive to other regions since the beginning. His biggest song is All The Above ft T-Pain (a southern singer/rapper) with a bouncy beat and an autotune hook. Maino is the PERFECT EXAMPLE of what Trinidad is talking about.
