Run D.M.C. is walking their way into the Grammy Hall of Fame. For the honor’s 40th anniversary, the group’s “Walk This Way” is among the list of inductees including The Sugarhill Gang “Rapper’s Delight”, and recordings by James Brown, Gil Scott-Heron, Miles Davis, Sam Cooke and more.
“Walk This Way” featuring Aerosmith, was the Billboard hit that helped bridge the gap between Hip Hop and Rock and The Sugarhill Gang’s “Rapper’s Delight” is considered the first rap recording to popularized the genre worldwide. Congrats!
