RR’s ’09 Best Albums: #5 Fabolous “Loso’s Way”
It’s easy at first to dismiss Fab’s latest CD as being just like all of his previous. Well Loso’s coming out party doesn’t deviate far from his hardcore hip-hop/R&B flavored collabo formula except for the fact that these joints got a lil extra bang to them. You can’t front on the emotive “Imma Do It” and the verbal intercourse displayed with Lil Wayne on the stirring “Salute”. Your ladyfriend will enjoy Ryan Leslie’s captivating contribution (“Everything, Everyday, Everywhere”) and appearances by Trey (“Last Time”) and Ne-Yo (“Makin’ Love”). Still the true jewels to be found are joints where Fab bares a lil of his soul as he addresses topics like lost friends (“Pachanga”) and fatherhood (“Stay”). Plus that Alchemist “Lullaby” joint still got me sportin’ a screwface. Ha!
Before: RR’s ’09 Bext Albums: #6 50 Cent Before I Self Destruct
Good album, deserves to make the cut but again not better than Mos, and not better than Ross overall.”I Miss My Love” is a phenomenal track though, one of the best story joints I’ve heard in awhile, on some Big Poppa stuff. Too early to take bets on number 1? I’m thinking Rae.
LULLABY IS CERTIFIED!!! FAB JUST FLOWS LIKE WATER ON THAT TRACK…ONE OF HIS BEST I BELIEVE
This album had only one hit single “Throw it in the bag” …but the album you need to “Throw it in the trash”….but yall NY niggaz gonna dick ride in body from yall city SMH
Deserve to be on the list but not top 5
Fab’s album was and still is trash. Politics as usual.
This list already in the tank but can Slaughterhouse at least get on the list to save some hip-hop credibility for this site
Here’s my best guesses.
4.Wale – Attention Deficit
3.Clipse – Til The Casket Drops
2.Jay-z – BluePrint 3
1. Raekwon -Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2
That’s my guess. Wale probably won’t make the cut though. It was a dope album though, better than most of the list. Kid Cudi’s album was dope too, but probably too weird to make a RR list. And I guess So Far Gone retail don’t count? And Skyzoo and Brother Ali are probably a little too underground to make the list, even though their albums are better than most of the list.
Solid album fab been comin wit the lyrics from day 1…def in the top 5
It deserves to be in the top 10 but I would put it at #9 or #10 on my list.
“lullaby” ftw
I will try to listen to this album again. It starts off so good, the first 7 tracks I believe GO HARD. But then I was let down by the rest of the disc. I’ll try to give it a second listen.
Proof of purchase: http://twitpic.com/ce7oi for you downloading mofo’s.
yall should check out our list of the top 10 albums:

we got a couple overlaps with rap radars but lotta different good stuff too. make sure you comment adn tell us what you think!
Fuck this is lame – you had to try to drive more traffic by making each entry in the list a separate post instead of a single post for best albums and a single post for worst albums. It’s impossible to follow.
At least make a post summarizing the lists.
