RR’s ’09 Best R&B Albums: #1 The-Dream “Love vs. Money”
The Grammy Committee will disagree, but The-Dream’s Love vs. Money was the best Rhythm and Blues album of 2009. On his sophomore disc, Dream lived up to his Radio Killa alias with “Rockin That Shit” and then showed no mercy by “Walkin’ On The Moon” with Kanye West. Next, Mr. Nash showcased his slow groove majestry on “Put It Down” and “Sweat It Out”. But it’s on the dramatic “Fancy” where Dream truly proves his excellence. For a steady six minutes he lets climatic hand claps serve as the perfect soundtrack to his ode to the good life before seguing smoothly to the “Right Side Of My Brain”. It’s tracks like these that give the self-produced Dream his license to ill on the critics. In the battle of Love vs. Money, the fans win.

Great Album, though, i thought i was the only person who listened to it…Top 5 underrated most definitely!
Lol, the dream album better than trey songz album? The fuck outta here.
talented guy. might be better off going back behind the boards.
^It is though. Way better actually.
Yeah it was better than Trey’s album
LOVE VS. HATE = Great album. Would probably end up in my top ten for ’09. But the number R&B album for ’09 dropped on August 31st, by the homie Trey Songz. You play Trey, you are good for the morning, noon, and night. Ladies love Trey and the album, from track one to 20 are all on point.
Its a tie to me The Dream shit was good and Trey Songz shit was good …but i gotta go wit Trigga …and Pleasure P had a good album tho
Jamie Foxx shit was straight too…..

No way this was the best “rhythm and blues” album..sonically lyrically or even by sales…Alicia keys..Maxwell..chrisete michele..no way the dreams album is on the level of those..Especially vocally! But hey I guess it depends on who you ask..maybe now he will stop crying over being overlooked on twitter

took the words right out off my mouth….
that JOE “Signature” album was the R&B album or the year hands down . It was released independently so it kinda got slept on, but he wrote and produced the whole thing and it’s crazy . If you haven’t heard it check it out and I GUARANTEE you will agree with me . If you play it while you’re with your girl it’s a wrap . Check it out and tell me if I’m wrong .
I thought I was gonna hate this album, but I actually loved/love this shit. It goes along well with his 1st classic (yes, I said it, the 1st album was a classic bitch.) To me, I like Trey Songz, he’s a dope singer. I admit, I got a lil malice in my heart because my girl is always talkin’ bout how fine he is and shit, but fuck it, he’s a celebrity, that’s his job. Anywayz, I think Ready sucked ass. Sorry, it was too many songs on it and the shit was childish compared to his first 2 albums. Maybe it was that LOL Smiley face shit…Don’t know, but his mixtape, Anticipation, was DEFINITELY better than the album. Don’t believe me??? Listen for urself…
This album was was okay, but his first album was great! few songs sounded the same to me on this cd, but itz still in my iPod. Dream is a great songwriter and singer, much props!!
BUT WHERE THE HELL IS JAMIE FOXX! if you didnt listen to Intiution then clearly you dont know your r & b..he came hard on that album..thumbs down RR
