Black Thought essentially entered a cheat code. As good as Bronson and Royce are they aren’t as good as Thought and his verse essentially being half of the song only magnifies how unfair it is. Black Thought is one of the greatest of all time. The Roots catalog proves that and is as good and consistent of a discography you’ll find in all of hip-hop.

Hearing shit like this reminds me why I disagree with all the critics about the Roots last couple of Roots albums. Musically, I guess they’re interesting, but there aint enough straight hip hop on them. And BARS. Especially when they got a nigga like Black Thought in the wings. It’s like only putting in Durant for ponly a quarter. I don’t get it.
