Nicki Minaj Covers ‘Fader’

Ready For Fall?

Well Nicki is. And with her hair out, she graces the Fall Fashion issue of The Fader magazine. Read her cover story in its entirety here.

Leading up to The Pink Print, Nicki’s been singlehandedly feeding the mainstream and energizing fans of emerging rap. By judiciously balancing her new, heartbroken radio-pop single “Pills N Potions” with remixes for street rappers like Young Thug and YG, she offers the best of both worlds, and might even succeed in merging them. Over the past two years, criticism of her pop music has played out in her self-presentation, too.

That may have been the biggest crock of shit I’ve ever read…Nicki merging the mainstream??!! She failed!! Her American Idol fiasco was an explosion of epic proportions, now her career has a ceiling, which she won’t reach again. Her mainstream appeal has dropped considerably, and her influence in rap has dropped as well.
