Not out yet, it took J.Cole 2014FHD at least a month to put out the VInyl so I figure this will be the same.

If any critic said they weren’t feeling the album their opinions wouldn’t get published in any major publication or platform. Those critics think about business relations 1st (cause of course they need that Kendrick interview later) and being considered cool 2nd and the actual music last.

You saw “some” negative reviews but it probably wasn’t on nothing that gets too many reads. No critic wants to ruffle the feathers of the Kendrick bandwagon. The album aint trash but Kendrick made it so therefore nobody that really likes their position/job in the music industry is gonna risk saying some of them beats and rhymes at that dope.
the blacker the berry is my favorite track on the album…the one out of sixteen croaker.
A racist such as yourself of course wouldn’t like the album. The whole premise and context of the album is completely oppose to your whole mentality and ideology in life period.

I agree it’s a standout track, but you can’t dismiss the rest of this album.

Too soon to tell. To me, this album is over hyped. I think GKMC was a far better album than this. I think 2014 Firest Hills Drive is a better album as well.

For those that can’t apprecciatte what Kendrick is doing is still hustling for another mans benifit (even the middle man) probally still haven’t found themseleves outside of the sterotypes and overall you make music that mimics what’s cool instead of what’s true!
I said it a while back lil wayne never needed his haters to be fans to become who he did same with Kendrick and other successful rappers!

i can appreciate the message but the production is all jazz/funk in a 2015 hiphop album it got boring real quick he should of just wrote a book and im allowed to have my own opinion now i bet your gonna say i expect bangers or i listen to young thug thats not the case music in general despite having substance has to catch the ear and entertain this album didnt do that for the most part . If kendrick did a song with fart noises in the background you dick riders would say its hot, all in all it sonically wasnt pleasing to my ears
I mean dude, i’m not trying to be an asshole when i say this, but have you ever listened to hip hop that came out before the year of 1998? That seems to be where the dissconect for people is. While this is certainly okay, it seems that most of the people that don’t like this album are young dudes who have a casual interest in hip hop but not really enough interest to listen to anything other than what is the mainstream sound of right now. cuz this album sounds veeeerrrrryyyyyy tribe, outkast, dilla, chronic esque. but someone who that doesn’t really know a lot about hip hop probably wouldn’t like those artists/records either, even though those are some of the most acclaimed people of all time.
I’ve been listening to Hip Hop since before 1998 and I grew up on those artists you named and I still didn’t like the beats on his album. I get your comment but its possible to be a Hip Hop head and still not really like the production on TPAB.
I feel like the production was a bit over the top too, but in a way it fits the content(lyrics). Any other beats wouldn’t have made sense in my opinion
How you know any other beats wouldn’t have made sense without hearing any other beats? Outta the millions of beats there is only these beats coulda worked for Kendrick? I’m not mad at anybody who likes the beats, I’m just saying for those who don’t it’s not necessarily because they just clueless to Hip Hop music. Maybe they just don’t like the beats and thats it.
