Sean Price of the legendary Boot Camp Clik, Heltah Selketah, and Random Axe passed away in his sleep this morning. He was 43.
P’s wife Bernadette, broke the news via her Facebook page and DJ Premier corroborated the passing on his Instagram handle. P’s new album Songs In The Key Of Price, is expected to drop August 21. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
Damn…. that’s too young to go.
Rest in Power.

I think that she was in between being sad, heartbroken & angry (because it was untimely, out of her control and she, like most of us, was unprepared). It’s natural to feel some anger when you lose a loved one. It just looks like (on the surface) it was done too hasty & in bad taste. It’s hard to judge the reactions of someone close to a person that transitions, because you can’t gauge their grief. That said, RIP Ruck. I still listen to that Statik Selektah Freestyle heavy…
