Kanye’s Going To Hollywood.
American Idol will begin their final season this Wednesday on Fox. During the San Francisco auditions a few months back, Kanye surprised the judges with an appearance and rapped his “Gold Digger” hit. Since then, clips were posted on IG, but E! shares the full clip. Says Ryan Seacrest:
“We were in San Francisco, and they said, ‘We’ve got a contestant that’s just going to jump into the line. And up walked Kim and Kanye—Kim pregnant and Kanye enthusiastic and ready to go in there. He walks in there and does a lyric about J.Lo from one of his songs.”
Where the fuck is SWISH!?
Why is he using American Idol for another 15 minutes of fame?
This is not much different than him jumping on stage during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for her award that detracted from her time to shine.
American Idol is about the real contestants, not another publicity stunt for Kanye West who feels that he has to do these things to stay relevant and keep his name constantly out there. This is about finding unknowns and letting them have their own opportunity to shine.
I think it helps American Idol ratings more than him. Its their last season for a reason right?
