Bobby Shmurda had his day in court today and accepted a plea of seven years in prison on murder conspiracy charges. As per the deal, he’ll also serve five years probation. No word yet if Rowdy Rebel accepted a similar deal. Rowdy Rebel also copped to a 7 year deal. Sentencing commences October 19. Bobby’s lawyer Alex Spiro, tells FADER, “His sentence of 7 years, with credit for 2 years already served and good time credit will hopefully permit him to be home in approximately 3 1/2 years and resume his remarkable career.” In December 2014, Shmurda and his GS9 crew were arrested at a recording studio on weapons and conspiracy charges.
UPDATE: Bobby Shmurda was given his seven year sentenced in court yesterday. The NY Daily News reports that the rapper informed the judge that his plea was coerced and his desire to fire his lawyer. Deal or no deal.
