Three Men Indicted In Mac Miller’s Death
Resting easy
A grand jury in a California federal court indicted three men today (October 2) in the connection of Mac Miller’s death. Mac’s body was discovered on September 7, 2018 at San Fernando Valley home from an accidental drug overdose. He was 26.
Within the past week, Cameron Pettit, Ryan Reavis, and Stephen “Stevie” Walter were taken in custody on separate occasions and charged with conspiring and distributing cocaine and oxycodone pills laced with fentanyl. According to documents, all three have had previous drug offenses.
Prosecutors say instead of receiving oxycodone, Mac received counterfeit pills that contained fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid that is 50 times more powerful than heroin. Reports alleged Mac crushed the pills and snorted them before his passing.
Court documents state Walter, who is also charged as a felon for possession of ammunition and firearm, allegedly supplied the drugs to Reavis. From there, Reavis then ran the drugs to Pettit, who then distributed them to Miller just days before his death. All charges carry a minimum sentence of 20 years with possible life without parole.
