H.E.R. brings light to dark times in the video to her latest release, “Hold Us Together”

Directed by Child, the uplifting video centers H.E.R. performing alongside a choir while Black families come together and scenes from the film plays throughout.

Co-written by herself, the track is off Reginald Hudlin’s Disney + movie Safety originally scored by Marcus Miller. Safety is based on a true story of Clemson University football safety Ray McElrathbey, a young man facing a series of life challenges.
