What you expect Ice Cube as a 40 year old man who has a family and lives no where near South Central to continue talking about Gangbanging and killing cops? Yawn.
Of course he’s going to be different. You can keep talking about some movies he makes for other generations, but the fact remains his music hasn’t sold out. That’s what this is about. His music is as genuine as any one out there. Don’t take my word, listen to ‘Laugh now cry later’ and ‘Raw Footage’ with an open mind (if that’s possible) and recognize legendary status sitting behind those glasses.
Just for the record, he can keep making shit movies for all I care. He has still provided 3 movies that have made my life better and more enjoyable – BoyzNtheHood, Friday and Next Friday. So I’d rather Ice Cube have become an actor, because those movies exist because of him.
