Takeoff Shot & Killed In Houston
R.I.P. Takeoff.
Takeoff, one-third of the rap group Migos was fatally shot in Houston. He was 28.
TMZ reports the incident happened early Tuesday morning (Nov. 1) at the bowling alley 810 Billiards & Bowling in downtown Houston.
Houston police reports Takeoff and Quavo were playing dice on the third floor of the alley, when an altercation broke out and two individuals opened fire. Takeoff was struct multiple times by stray bullets and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other individuals were transported to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries including Quavo’s assistant, 23-year-old Joshua Washington and a 24-year-old woman. Quavo was unharmed.
Since the incident, a medical examiner confirmed Takeoff died from shots resulting from “penetrating gunshot wounds of head and torso into arm.” Surveillance footage also shows a man holding a gun prior to the shooting and then firing multiple shots during the altercation, who is a person of interest in the deadly shooting.
Born Kirsnik Khari Ball, Takeoff was the youngest member of the multi-platinum and Grammy-nominated rap group, Migos, who released the Culture III last year. The Atlanta rapper released his solo album, The Last Rocket back in 2018. Amid the Migos disbandment, Takeoff and Quavo appeared on the Rap Radar Podcast and soon released their collaborative album, Only Built For Infinity Links. The duo just released the album’s latest video, “Messy“.
