Kendrick Lamar gets therapeutic in his new music video, “Count Me Out”.
Directed by himself and Dave Free, the powerful clip co-stars Oscar-nominated actress Helen Mirren who portrays a therapist and K Dot reflecting on life through a series of symbolic imagers.
Kendrick is seen in the desert with wife Whitney and their two children, frolics with goats, records in the studio, and more, before he’s accompanied by an angel while seated at a piano.
“Count Me Out” is the latest visual off Kendrick’s chart-topping album, Mr. Morale & The Hotsteppers and follows “Rich Spirit“, “We Cry Together“, “N95“, and “The Heart Part 5“. It also earned the rapper eight nominations for the upcoming Grammys including “Album Of The Year”.
