Dave East is trying to keep his head “Above Water” on his latest release produced by Westtopher.
Utilizing a sample of “Eusebio” by Magenta Keys, the Harlem rapper references street survival and making it through a harsh upbringing.
“I just hope the witness don’t say he saw me,” raps East. “I just wanna run the family like Paulie / I just hope my niggas paid attention to the ways they change for my story / I just wanna turn this pain into glory.”
