ScHoolboy Q is back.

TDE’s ScHoolboy Q is set to finally release his next album Blue Lips soon, and teases the upcoming project with a dual release, “Blueslides” and “Back N Love” featuring Devin Malik.

For “Blueslides”, a vulnerable Q takes a moment to reflect on his hiatus and recent struggles over a soulful beat by Tae Beast, Mario Luciano and Jason Wool.

“Lost a homeboy to the drugs, man, I ain’t tryna go backwards,” he raps in reference to the late Mac Miller. “When I realize that it’s – her and think, “Was it worth it?” / Man I gotta shake this shit, wake up and move with a purpose / Been in prison in my own house, I don’t know if they noticed.”

Over on to “Back N Love” featuring Devin Malik, the L.A. rapper flexes his lyrical muscle over a menacing soundbed by Tae Beast and WillGell.

“Around nine, I was tryna have sex / Thirteen and I caught a new flex / Ask why and you probably get blessed / Yes, yes / Got a Iceberg flooding my neck / With thе old bitch really upset / Got a new thing, what’d you еxpect?.”

Both records come with an accompanying video, which will only be available for 24 hours. Blue Lips will be Q’s first album since 2019’s Crash Talk and it is penciled in for March 1.
