but yo, i’ll say this. a judge would never disable one man’s means to live just to pay off an ex-wife. he’ll dump into your pockets, but not to the point that you can’t even live anymore. he’s trying to help her keep up her lifestyle, while not letting Nas improve on his RIGHT off the bat on some “whew i can ball now that that bitch is gone”. the judge is the reminder that “naw bruh, u still have an obligation to your ex-wife”.
so with that said…if he actually HAS those astronomical figures to fork over that the courts can get out of him…we can’t be that naive to assume Nas, as smart and well read and intelligent as he is, is also broke. nope, not in the least….YOU just don’t see his money in action. just like you don’t see HIM in action hardly…he intends for it to be that way. that’s always been how he rolled. low-key, quiet. reserved, etc.

1 thing I don’t think most people realize with this whole Nas/Kelis situation…. He comes from older money… older money is real money! New money ain’t shit…b/c of inflation/cost of living/the value of a dollar being far less than what it used to be… He caked off the entire decade of the 90’s, and is still caking… so that means the majority of his investments are paid for, he only pays taxes on most of it! The homes are paid for, the whips are paid for, the clothes,etc… paid for! so although what Kelis & the judge are asking him to cough up is crazy stupid… It doesn’t hurt him nearly as bad as ya’ll believe it does. And he isn’t as bad of a business man as you guys make him out to be!
