Score one for the Bawse. Last month, former drug lord Rick Ross, filed a lawsuit to thwart the release of rapper “Rick Ross'” Teflon Don. The former accuses the latter of identity fraud. But according to the defendant, the injunction was dismissed. The suit also calls for $10 million and 50% of the Ross’ royalties. Good luck with that.
The Irony is that Officer Ricky offered to settle with the washed up Cocaine dealing Idiot but he refused..
Oh Well, he could have co-signed the movement and now he is going to get run over by it..

@E_ But how can you be so sure? Isn’t he suing for trademark infringement? The Real Rick Ross can’t get trademark protection on a birth name unless there’s acquired distinctiveness. And even if he did by some MIRACLE get the trademark protection, how could he successfully assert a likelihood of confusion ( which is the lynchpin of trademark law) when most of Rick Ross’ fans didn’t even know who the REAL Rick Ross was prior to the “fake” Rick Ross and the BET American Gangster series. He can’t sucessfully argue that people bought the fake Rick Ross’ music thinking it was the real Rick Ross’ music. Is there a legal basis for your opinion?
