Although Kanye West’s new album doesn’t hit stores for another two months (or so), Lil Wayne’s already heard it. That’s right, Yeezy tells Rolling Stone that while visiting Weezy on Rikers Island, he rapped his entire album for him. That’s one verbal exercise.
“Sometimes he has so many guests he tells me to come back another day,” his manager, Cortez Bryant, says. Drake, Diddy, Kanye West and Nicki Minaj are among those who’ve gotten past the guards. During West’s visit, he gave Wayne a private concert. “I rapped my entire new album for him,” West says. “Like, ‘Do you want to to rewind?'”

Wayne is the defining rapper of his error, his peers hold him in the same air of reverence that NBA players hold Kobe in. Listen to guys like Kanye or Tip (basically offering to relinquish his “King of the South” title to Wayne if he wanted it) talk about Wayne, there’s just a level of respect and deference there that you just don’t see towards artists from rappers of that status. Weezy’s a living legend, when he gets out the game is gonna celebrate like dude was a political prisoner or some shit joe.

I wish a nigga would say he the best of ALL TIME. I only here BEST ALIVE. But theres too much comp for best EVER. Theres niggas still alive thats better than Wayne so I dunno. Wayne top 15-20 though. C2 was the closest thing to a classic he has. C3 was okay, No Ceilings was good for what it was. And as a rapper, if he mixes his style on C2 with with C3, then C4 could be a problem.
