Print media is dead… No ad rev, info to slow who’s next??
Rest in piss.
very sad times. i pray that danyel smith will be able to move on to something bigger and better. at least she has yn in her life. this powercouple will make it through these tough times. they will serve as an inspiration to us all. love is the message and the answer. and rest in peace mj!!!! what a terrible time 🙁
Oh well… another shitty mag goes down the tubes. I guess Dany will be blogging on RapRadar now…
Black Web 2.0 Just did an audio interview with Vibe’s Danyel Smith, and interestingly enough she argued that print wasn’t dead, it was just “challenged”. Were those young whipper snappers at Black Web 2.0 right? You be the judge. http://bit.ly/5xbSf
Vibe was the corniest, most watered down uninformed magazine out their. No one cared about their reviews or stories, and that issue with the top 50 blogs was like a eulogy. Seriously think about print media praising new media. Good Bye. I guess Rap Radar has 5 or 10 more new “guest bloggers”
A great magazine, lead by a great woman, is lost. Mainstream America needed this magazine. It provided a bridge between the “inside” and the rest of us. Those on the inside of the community are going to feel the pinch… in more ways than one.
r.i.p. vibe, sad they didn’t get to do a Michael jackson tribute issue.
