Once again, it’s on. Here’s the second release off Rap Radar’s The Mixtape Of The Year. On the remix to his strong single, Gangsta Gibbs gets grimey with some heavyweight assistance from the homies of Duck Down. It gets no more underground than this. Get your mean mug on. Props to Green Lantern and DJ Drama. Cuttin’, scratchin’, and drops? Stop your bloodclot cryin’. Ha!

I usually hate shit that sounds like I’m back in NY circa ’95 but for some reason this feel good. I was waiting for a DJ Clue “evil laughter” drop the whole song lol
Speaking on DJ’s drops Kay Slay had the worst two drops of all time that damn fire engine shit and gun shots were just way too long! Those got played real quick but had to buy his tapes he was the only DJ dropping double TAPES mixtapes for the price of one lol

WTF???? You gotta be kidding me bruh… You are the 1st person I’ve EVER heard say that… That was the best time/sound in Rap music history! The last 10 plus years get an F- in sound & quality

BRu973 don’t get it twisted I love that era too!!! But living through those times middle school school and up I done heard every subject matter and metaphor flipped so many ways it’s a turn off now. I’m into more progressive sounding music which is opposite of a 2 bar loop and a drum break. The only time I wanna hear shit that sound like it’s from 95 is when I put a tape that came out in 95. ( Which I do often btw)

WTF are you talking about Dynasty, first of the mid 90’s was hip hop, if you would rather listen to Lil Wayne ryhme about nonsense dont post stupid shit about a real MC like Freddie Gibbs and the BCC. Take you weak shit the fuck out of here.
And onto Freddie, it says alot when the first dude to drop dimes in years is still strugglin to get out there and the dumb ass ignorant Flocka is going gold.
The game is flat out garbage anymore.
Freddie keep it up, you shit is raw, your even better live.
This IS -’95, circa NY.
indiana stand UP!.. seriously tho.. this dude is the best.. bringin back real rap.. not any of this i got signed so thats how i got this chain car and whatever i rap about on my first album then i wonder why i got no label back up for my second one which will only sell half as much as my first one because i only had one hot song that enough stupid white kids bought the cd.. and now that they got kids wearin skinny jeans and fo hawks thye bought my cd too.. but those white kids grew up and now are onto something new(thats what happens to the money rappers who “ball” off an advance check and ringtones..) Anyone heard from dj unk? enough said..
seriously listen to gibbs.. on point rhyme patterns and words that mean something.. how does young money have more fans than him? because they rap about cars they will have repo’d in a few years? because they hang with wayne?(i bet he gon be re strategizing once he gets outta prison and droppin fools like currensy and all the other forgotten names of young money/cashmoney.. because they all live in a two bedroom apartment with two sets of bunk beds? jae millz included..!
I dont get it.. when did rap become about rapping about what you can buy with your adcance check because that is the only money you see until you tour and that last only one go round because no one likes your embellished money raps and stacks or fat pockets or rims or jewels.. seriously get back to real life hip hop.. stop with this culture that the media made you believe you wanted to get too..
@Maupa thank you for proving my point with that video I was just stating facts. I never dis the Gibbs song in fact I said I like it. I was just saying the feel of the track just brought me back to my childhood and now that I’m older I want some fresh ideas and beats.

lmao The Dynasty’s birth year somewhere between 1990-2000 that make him around 10-19 old
^^
Nigga are you slow? He said he was in middle school in ’95…that would mean he was born somewhere in the 80s….which would mean he’s around his 20s or 30s

I think the original version is better…Sean P had a pretty boring verse and Smif n Wessun, one of my fav groups from the 90s, don’t sound that good anymore, Tek needs to hang it up.
