TRUTHFULLY…… (on my Mickey Factz ish for a sec, lol)
1) Don’t you love how Dream dances in EVERY video? It’s not like he actually has a couple of moves like T-Pain, he just looks awkward in front of a camera…
2) This was actually one of the doper songs on the LP. I dont think it’s gonna sell as much as his last album because this could be Tip’s worst album he’s released… but this song was dope, and the content’s dope too. One of the songs I can point to in order to prove that T.I. CAN be lyrical when he wants to. Can’t knock that.
3) Why was this whole video shot in like 5 scenes?
4) Seriously, Dream should just stop dancing. lol
The most likely didn’t have a lot of time to shoot this, and that’s why it was only done in like 5 scenes. I really hope he did a video for “Castle Walls” with Christina Aguilera, because that will potentially be his biggest single from the this album.
I read the above comment about this being T.I.’s “worst” album, and I was about to defend that, but now I’m not so sure. This is almost like one of those Kanye matters. Most folks say Kanye’s “808’s & Heartbreak” is his “worst” album, and still is “worst” album was an incredibly good album and one of the best of 2008. I think if anyone is saying “No Mercy” is his worst album, it’s just because his previous ones were SUPER DUPER GOOD and this one is only SUPER GOOD. (If that all makes sense). I say this, because T.I. is one of the most consistent artists in hip-hop when it comes to quality albums. This one was a winner. Paper Trail was probably his magnum opus and “T.I. vs. Tip” (which I would choose as his “worst” album if I had to choose; and that album still had gems on it too) was good in it’s own right.

besides kanye and tip no ones really said shit on albums this year like those pure rap verses em had alot of rap but empty rap empty words

Great vdeo, and a great album.. I feel this is TI’s greatest album, better even than Paper Trail, to me, this album has no weak songs, or songs that I want to skip, all the tracks on the album are meaningful and inspiring, much more so than the ones on Paper Trail.
I hope T.I wins the 2 Grammys he’s nominated for and he has an easy time in the pen.

Good he did a video for this song. this is my favorite song on the whole album i played it like ten times straight. Whole album is a 4/5 only song I really hate is that one with Rico something…lay you down I think? song sucks, I felt like amazing sucked too but it grew on me. But yeah one of my favorite albums of the year but its gonna get panned and flop but fuck it I guess.

I think he could have taken this song as an opportunity to make something more dramatic. He didn’t even have to be in the video. It could have been a snapshot of his life, like a young boy who comes up in the street, loses friends along the way, gets locked up, get out and finds a way to make it. just my thought…..
